Amazon might have spilled the beans...
In emails to recent preorder customer for Cataclysm, Amazon stated that their merchandise looks to be released between January 4 and January 18, 2011. This may be an attempt by Blizzard to compete more directly with the budding MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, who's release date has been narrowed to sometime, 2011.
We'll have to just wait and see what Blizzard says about it at Blizzcon in late Oct.
